The celebration of the thirty-fourth anniversary of the Army Day in Juba has been postponed from Tuesday to Thursday at general headquarters, Bilpam.
Presidential Spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny told Radio Bakhita on Tuesday that the celebration was adjourned because of some few issues.
Ateny describes the day as very important and that the states have responsibilities to celebrate it in their own ways.
The SPLA was founded as a Guerrilla Movement on May 16, 1983.
The Movement under the late Dr John Garang de Mabior fought a long war that resulted in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005.
The agreement provided for self-determination in the then Southern Sudan, resulting into the independence of South Sudan in 2011.
