About 80 SPLM IO have rejoined government forces in Kuarjena County and Mapel area.
48 soldiers surrendered themselves in Mapel under the leadership of youth chairman, confirms Barjuak Ucu, Commissioner of Kuarjena County, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He admits receiving 12 other soldiers on May 15th led by Second Lieutenant James Bol Dimo and that some are returning individually.
Barjuak explains that the returnee force report that they rejoined the government because they did not get clear agenda from the armed opposition.
The security situation is still deteriorating due to attacks from Commander Piny Matida who use to hit the area continuously, says the commissioner.
Radio Voice of Hope could not reach the Captain in charge of IO force for comments.
