Medicine Sans Frontiers or MSF is planning to open a new clinic in Mahad vicinity of Yei County, reveals Acting County Health Director.
Michael Lugala Nicholas says they agreed to open the clinic in the area because other clinics are far from the people of Mahad, Radio Easter reports.
There is a high population of people in Mahad including those displaced from Pakula areas, he adds.
Lugala discloses that many NGOs are coming to open more clinics.
There is a large population in villages not getting health services, but people in the town are a bit happy, Lugala admits.
The Acting Director appeals to the government to open up roads to enable people get services in the town and for NGOs to deliver services to huge population in villages.
There are many NGOs which would like to provide services in villages, but they are prevented to reach those areas.
He spoke during the commemoration of the World Nurse and Midwifery Day at Lomuku Two Primary Health Care Unit in Yei.
