South Sudan Red Cross while marking World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on Monday paid tribute to its staff and volunteers killed while helping vulnerable communities and victims of conflict.

Red Cross volunteers and staff are finding creative and innovative ways to adapt local solutions to reach people in need, says John Lobor, Secretary-General of Red Cross in a statement.

He adds that Red Cross is keeping commitment to humanity every day by putting efforts to ensure that no one is left behind.

The Secretary says in South Sudan, they reached thousands of people, building safer and stronger communities through diverse and innovative services.

Every year the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement reaches more than 160 million people around the world, he adds.
