Group of criminals broke into a civilian house at night but one was killed by house owner says Yei River State Police Commissioner.
Major General Yoasa Lujang Kamba told Radio Easter that the criminals were using guns to break the door.
The house owner shot the criminal on chest using a bow and an arrow, he adds.
The dead body of the criminal was found in the morning with four telephones in his pocket, he explains.
Major General Lujang says the new police graduates are facing challenges of guns in order to be deployed for patrolling at night in the town.
The Police Commissioner was speaking after the state Governor issued an order for civilians to protect themselves at night.
