Isuru Lona is one of the mothers who delivered on Wednesday; she says she is very happy for the comfort she got while delivering under qualified midwife.

She describes delivering in a hospital as very important because midwives can help in case of bleeding.

Nurse Angela Njiru says some mothers in labour pain are brought too late to the hospital.

And the relatives attack the health personnel when the pregnant woman passes on.

She expresses disappointment to see a mother dying during delivery when she is brought too late to a health facility.

Peter Mawol is a senior male midwife at Torit State Hospital. He says most of the women are not willing to deliver when they see a male midwife attending to them.
