An Emergency Ward nurse at Juba Teaching Hospital says they received several cases of fire cases caused by fuel in residential areas.

Rose Benjamin Wani informs Bakhita Radio that the incidences occur due to illegal selling and storage of fuel at homes.

She reports that six people have been burned after fire caused by fuel broke out at Nyakoron on Thursday.

Ms Benjamin says the victims were referred to Uganda for further medical treatment.

Ms Rose urges the government to control the selling of fuel to stop such incidences from occuring again.

Earlier, Authorities in Juba City Council issued an order stopping people from selling fuel along the streets.

But some people insist on selling.
