Catholic University of South Sudan is expected to graduate its fifth batch on Saturday at Nyakuron Cultural Centre in Juba.
President Salva Kiir Mayardit is expected to grace the ceremony as the guest of honour.
The President of Catholic Bishops’ Conference Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro and Catholic Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro will take lead in the event.
Meanwhile the Institute of Applied Research and Community Outreach of University is Friday starting a series of lectures entitled: ‘Examining local peacemaking efforts in South Sudan’.
The first lecture at Juba Na Bari University premises is scheduled to tackle local realities on memories.
The next lecture on May 11 is expected to talk on socio-cultural mechanisms and indigenous vocabularies of justice and peacemaking.
The third lecture on May 18 will examine global mechanism: ‘A critical analysis of international conflict transformation’.
The last part of the lecture on local responses will be on the question that ‘Can universal principles and particular practices meet in South Sudan?
