The Catholic Radio Network or CRN received its Anti-Corruption Transparency Champion Award won last year during the World Press Freedom Day on Wednesday.
Community Empowerment for Progress or CEPO announced the award in November after CRN radio stations countrywide seriously reported on the Girls’ Education South Sudan or GESS malpractices.
The prize which is in two forms: Five thousand South Sudanese Pounds and a valuable certifying glass material, was supposed to be handed in December by the South Sudan Anti-Corruption Commission.
CRN reporter Maura Metbeni Paul Ajak became one of the two best journalists who reported widely on human rights.
The other journalist emerged from Eye Radio and both were awarded recognition certificates.
During the World Radio Day celebration on February 13 this year, CRN Journalist Kade Doris Samson became one of the very active reporters in Juba and awarded a digital recorder.
