The Chairperson of Trade Chamber in Wau town says they have agreed with the traders to reduce prices of some essential food commodities for citizens afford.
Wol Charles says now the sack of sugar from wholesale is eight thousand South Sudanese Pounds, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He advises citizens not to pay more than one hundred and seventy a kilogram of sugar.
A kilo of flour is also reduced to one hundred and fifty SSP, Charles adds.
He adds that the chamber will monitor the retailers to make sure that the agreement works.
Charles explains that the prices of other commodities will also be decreased this week due to the ongoing economic situation in the state.
He calls on citizens to be patient as the Chamber continues to reduce the prices.
Last week Wau town witnessed skyrocketing prices in the market.
