The Cooperation between Gbudue State government and Churches, Nongovernmental Organizations and other civil society groups have greatly improve the security situation, says Assistance Program Manager of Justice and Peace Commission.

Alison Gizam Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese Assistance Program Manager says people are experiencing relative peace and improved security in Yambio and Gbudue State at large for the past four months.

He claims that the current Governor and his cabinet are more closely to the people without any discrimination in running the government affairs in the State, Radio Anisa reports.

Mr Gizam believes once the government is dedicated to work hand in hand with people, peace will prevail in the country.

He says citizens are free to embark on their normal activities because there are no security threats in the state.

No sound of gunshots in Yambio recently, he adds.

Mr Gizam was speaking after four-day consultative meeting with partners, CARITAS Germany who visited Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese about the situation on the ground.

Of recent, several peace campaigns were conducted in Yambio by civil society groups, Faith Based Council and other peace agents for peace to prevail in the State.
