The International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC on Thursday opened Operation Theater at Wau Teaching Hospital for the emergency cases.
Fiorela Harney, ICRC officer in Wau, says the Committee gives medicines to the Hospital and will continue to deliver medical equipments, Radio Voice of Hope reports
ICRC will also train personnel working in the Hospital to serve wounded people in the state, she adds.
The new Operation Theater has two rooms, store and some other equipment, explains ICRC Doctor, Marko Modiri.
He discloses that their team consists of six physicians, two nurses and one psychological doctor.
General-Director of Wau Teaching Hospital Bakhit Mawien says the population of the state and the whole region will benefit a lot from the Committee.
He adds that ICRC will provide free medical treatment including humanitarian aid like foods for patients and incentives to the workforce.
Doctor Mawien appeals to the medical personnel and citizens in greater Bahr el Ghazal to benefit from the free skills and services the Committee is expected to give.
