The role of women is missing as the state has been experiencing conflicts since 2012, says Community Empowerment for Progress Organization, CEPO in Wau.

CEPO State Coordinator, Stephen Robo Musa, says women are the victims of those who are being killed, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He was speaking during a one-day discussion to encourage women to contribute in peace building within the community.

The State Coordinator says the women have recommended having a general meeting on how they can cooperate in peace initiatives.

Robo outlines lack of resources, bitterness in the hearts of people and frustration as the main challenges that the women will face when carrying their duties.

Robo urges the women groups in the state to work hard on peace building in their communities.
