Police assures citizens of normal security situation in Juba

The security situation in Juba is normal, South Sudan Police Service spokesperson assures people.
 
Brigadier Daniel Justine Boulo told Radio Bakhita that citizens panicked because of rumours of insecurity.
 
He urges people to be calm and continue with their activities
 
Brigadier Justine denied rumors that some traders closed shops due to false information that the deployed security forces were going to loot people’s property.
 
He urged all Journalists who get harassed by security agents to report to senior officers.
 
The spokesperson’s comments followed the voice of the Mayor of Juba City Council Stephen Wani Michael calling on residents to be calm and get back to work.
 
Panic and fear in Juba followed a deployment of heavily armed security forces in and around the city.
 
The deployment started from Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
