Makerdit Primary School in Tonj County lacks teachers and it is major challenge, says headmaster.

Dominic Dut Adal says some students have shifted to other schools, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He believes all government schools are lacking teachers as many of them left for private sectors due to low payment.

The headmaster says his school received only two teachers from the ministry of Education and four part timers this year.

Dut urges the government to look into the teacher’s salaries as soon as possible.

He says the number of pupils registered this year is less than that of last year.

The headmaster made the remarks on Thursday in Tonj after his return from Juba.
