The Deputy Governor of Tonj State has denied reports that some civilians were killed along the river banks.

Manheim Bol Malek says the information is rumours because he did not receive any official letter, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He says the security situation is now calm.

Bol urges cattle keepers to go back to their territories because there is a big tension of cattle raiding and looting of people’s property.

He requests the people of Tonj State and South Sudan at large to unite and live in peace for the stability of the country.

The political leader made the comment on Wednesday in Tonj.
