Rights Director rejects killing of people on ethnic line

Killing of people based on ethnicity is not acceptable, says United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Human Rights Director during his visit to Wau State.Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
Ugin Ledarra says the visit on Wednesday was to assess the situation after the outbreak of conflict last Monday.
 
The Director says UNMISS will advocate for ceasefire for people of South Sudan to have full security, food and for their children to get education.
 
Ledarra says the Mission will ensure that they talk to the warring parties to stop the conflict in the country.
 
The Human Rights Director urges the government and armed opposition forces to stop abusing their fellow citizens.
 
He is expected to meet the state authorities including the Governor, SPLA Commander, Police Commissioner and the National Security Director.
