Wau State authorities will investigate army officers suspected over the recent incident in Wau town, says SPLA Deputy Spokesperson.
Colonel Santo Domic told Radio Bakhita on Tuesday that nine people are being held for investigation in relation to the violence in Wau State last week.
He says the investigation on the incident in Wau State started when the suspects were arrested.
Colonel Domic says the suspects are from different ethnic groups in the country.
However, he denied the allegations that SPLA soldiers have killed civilians during the fighting in the area last week.
Last week, there were reports of fighting between the army and anti-government group in different parts of Wau State.
The fighting left more than twenty people dead and many other wounded.
