The killing of aid workers in March and civilians in Parjok and Wau are completely contrary to the spirit of national dialogue, says Voluntary Civil Society Taskforce on the Implementation of the Peace Agreement.

The Taskforce Chairman Rajab Mohandis in a statement says mass displacements of citizens to neighbouring countries and UN camps increase hopelessness of the civil population.

The Taskforce demands stable and peaceful South Sudan where residents live in politeness and dignity and do not hide from people who are supposed to protect them, he points out.

The activist calls for political solution to the problems in South Sudan for the provision of humanitarian aid and basic services to civilians.

He also urges members of the national Assembly to stop wrangling on leadership positions, but debate on what save the people they represent.

Mohandis was reacting to attacks in Wau State, Parjok of Imotong State and aid workers along Juba-Pibor road.
