South Sudan Civil Society Alliance condemns clashes in Wau

South Sudan Civil Society Alliance has condemned the clashes that started on Tuesday in Wau State.
 
Akuoch Ajang Nyanhom, Chairperson of the Alliance, expresses disappointment on the violence that claimed lives of innocent civilians, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
He urges the parties involved in violence to ceasefire and respect the rights of civilians spelt out in Geneva Convention.
 
Ajang calls on UNMISS to fulfill its mandate of protecting civilians in South Sudan.
 
He urges IGAD, UN and AU to condemn the conflict in Wau and other places in the country.
 
UNMISS in a statement says it saw 16 dead bodies of civilians in the hospital and ten injured people on Monday.
