The rates of HIV/AIDS are increasing in Tonj State, says Director of Tonj Civil Hospital Tuesday.
John Jok testifies to Radio Don Bosco that the Hospital received 39 people tested positive with HIV and 27 patients affected in March and twelve in April this year.
He urges communities to avoid use of harmful traditional practices like removing of teeth and making signs on people’s foreheads with razorblades and other sharp metals to prevent infection of HIV.
He advises youth to encourage each other for blood test and spread awareness about HIV.
He appeals to the pregnant mothers to avoid deliver at home because of misusing of equipments during birth.
