UN urges Ministry of Labour to prepare female candidates for jobs

The United Nations urges the national Ministry of Labour to prepare female candidates to apply for jobs in order to ensure gender balance in the UN system.
 
UN agencies has been facing difficulties to balance the equality due lack of applications from female candidates, says Abdulmumini Usman of World Health Organization, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
He appeals to the Ministries of Labour and Education to empower women.
 
Training youth to apply for UN jobs will justify complains that the agencies only employ insiders, says Mary Hilary Wani, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Labour.
 
Gathoth Gatkuoth Hothnyang Minister of Labour and Public Service confirms that the Ministry has introduced free vocational schools for youth to resolve the issue.
 
The officials spoke during a launch of ‘Opening Doors: Building Careers Together’, a joint human resource initiative of the Ministry of Labour and UN Human Resources Inter-agency Network.
