United Nation Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS in Wau on Wednesday trained staff and students of the University of Bahr el Ghazal on the mandate of the Mission.
Head of field office, Winey Babahuga, says the workshop aims at making the learners and staff understand the role of UNMISS in Wau, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
The second reason is to engage the students and staff of Bahr el Ghazal University to partner with the Mission branch in Wau, she adds.
Babahuga affirms that UN has zero tolerance on sexual abuse which its staff allegedly commits sometimes.
She urges the people in Wau to quickly report any case of abuse UNMISS staff and peacekeepers committed.
Bahr el Ghazal University Vice Chancellor, Prof Samson Wasara, describes the workshop as very important for youth to understand UN mandate in the country.
Prof. Wasara advises the students to benefit from the workshop because sometimes government gets into misunderstand with UNMISS.
