The Governor of Yei River State has claimed that the armed groups in the area have agreed to open up roads for free movement of civilians and traders.
David Lokonga Moses says his government is making efforts to ensure that roads are opened, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says the armed opposition has expressed readiness to move away from civilians to avoid crossfire.
Governor Lokonga says the entire population of Yei demands for free movement.
Last month, Governor Lokonga claimed that the government and the armed groups agreed in Kampala to stop hostilities in the state.
