Justice and Peace Commission calls for nonviolent resolution

Resolve land issues in a non-violent way, the Acting Manager of Justice and Peace Commission in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura/Yambio urges communities.
 
Radio Anisa quoted Alison Gizam appealing to authorities to enlighten the public on how to acquire plots legally to avoid conflict between communities and institutions.
 
He adds that their role as a Justice and Peace Commission is to mediate between conflicting parties including the government, communities and churches.
 
The manager encourages the community not to construct concrete building in places without legal documents.
 
When there is any issue of the land; the Commission intervenes to make sure the problem is addressed amicably, he reveals.
 
The mandate of the Commission is to advocate for the peace and justice of everybody.
