The International Organization for Migration or IOM introduces a surface water treating system to ensure safe and clean water for people of Aburoc in Upper Nile.
The program is to benefit over fifteen thousand IDPs get clean water, says Ashley McLaughlin, IOM’s communications officer, Radio Bakhita reports.
She says before the operations began, IDPs were accessing a limited quantity of water and many of them were relying on shallow wells that dried up within three days.
The officer says access to clean water will help prevent the spread of water borne diseases such as cholera.
