A section of the armed opposition arrived in Yei River on Friday to sign a cessation of hostilities agreement, confirms State Governor.

David Lokonga Moses says the dialogue started in Kampala earlier this month and yielded good fruits, Radio Easter reports.

The governor explains that they had a productive meeting in and now he is waiting to forward the good news to the president.

Lokonga advises the people of South Sudan to leave behind hatred because it retards the development of the nation.

The governor advises the youth not to expose money in the public because others observe and at the end they rob or kill the owner.

Those who engage in killings, raping and robbing will be punished accordingly, he warns.

The governor made the remarks at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
