Senior Four candidate concludes her exams in maternity ward in Yambio

A female Senior Four candidate is concluding her last exams’ papers at Maternity Ward in Yambio State Hospital after giving birth to a new baby boy towards the end of exams.
 
Rutha Abishai Kumbosayo, a student from Yabongo Mixed Secondary School says her labour started last night and was taken to the hospital and delivered safely, Radio Anisa reports.
 
She expresses her excitement for having sat for her last paper of biology in the maternity ward.
 
Abishai thanked her school administration and the Minister of Education for the great effort they made to allow her sit for her last paper.
 
‘I am struggling with education in order to have better future for myself and my three kids’, she adds.
 
The candidate encourages her married colleagues and unmarried ones not to give up on education when they are pregnant or having a baby.
 
Gbudwe Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael confirms that the candidate has done her final paper in the maternity ward and completed it well.
 
He expresses happiness after seeing that even if the lady was in the hospital, she asked for her exams to be done, showing the importance of education to women in the state.
 
Some female students who spoke to Anisa Radio on the incident express commitment to continue with their studies even if there are challenges.
