The Body of the late Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wau, Rudolf Deng Majak is expected to arrive in Juba on Wednesday, announced Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC Deputy Secretary-General.
Fr James William Silgat says President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro of Juba and Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan, Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo are among the guests anticipated to receive the body at Juba International Airport
Emeritus Bishop of Torit, other Bishops, priests, brothers and sisters and top government officials will join the reception of the remains of late Bishop Deng Majak, the Deputy Secretary-General says.
Fr William adds that the Bishops, faithful and other South Sudanese are ready to receive the body.
The Body will sleep in Juba and after a requiem mass at St Theresa’s Cathedral, the body will be taken to Wau, he explains.
Other information will be communicated, Fr William adds.
