The Commissioner of Yei River County has issued a local order banning under age children and pregnant women from entering disco clubs in the area.
Denis Lasuba Paul in his order also bans people carrying weapons into night clubs, Radio Easter reports.
The order claims that the practice does not promote the rich norms and cultures of the people of Yei River County.
The Commissioner directs the traditional authorities and the organized forces to execute the order.
The order penalizes the club owners the parents and guardians of the under aged children and those found with weapons to pay 5000 SSP or imprisoned for a term not less than 3 months.
In a separate order the commissioner also bans the sale of used items such as bicycles, solar panels, beds, mattresses, computers and TV sets.
The order further bans the sale of car batteries, car engine, spare parts and iron sheets because it increases and widens theft of people’s properties in Yei River County
The order states that anyone found with the property will be confiscated or fined not less than 5000 SSP or imprisoned for a period not less than 3 months.
