Instability increases number of street children in Yei, says official

The current instability increases the number of street children in Yei River State as many parents fled for safety and abandoned them, according to psychosocial officer.
 
Samuel Taban says many children have decided to go to the street for survival, Radio Easter reports.
 
He believes that the number of street children could be more than that of last year.
 
Samuel says they provide psychosocial support like sports, counseling and model sessions to promote relationship among children and parents to reunite them.
 
He adds that the insecurity of the country affected their activities especially in Yei.
 
The officer spoke in an exclusive interview with Radio Easter on Monday.
