The President of the Republic urges state governors to observe the national prayers day schedule in their state capitals on the tenth of March.
Salva Kiir Mayardit says the event will be held in all states across the country to bring all citizens together, Radio Bakhita reports.
He stresses the need for citizens to humble themselves for the prayer because the country is going through difficult time.
The president also urges citizens to turn out in large numbers for prayers, repent and forgive one another to start a new chapter.
He extends the same message to South Sudanese in Diaspora to join their brothers and sisters in country on the day.
Aid agencies say thousands of people including children and were killed since the outbreak of the crisis in 2013 and over one million crossed to the neighboring countries.
UN says 100,000 people are facing starvation and a further one million people are expected to be food insecure especially in the former Unity State.
