Leaders and the whole population of the Nuba Mountains are burying Nuba Relief and Rehabilitation Organization founder, Neron Philip Ajo.
The Organization Executive Director Ali Abdel-Rahman Shamila describes the death of Philip as a great lost to the whole region.
Abdel Rahman says the late was the real founder of the Nuba Organization which supports the region with education and development programs.
The director adds that the late was linking Nuba people with the international community and was advocating for their welfare.
Neron Philip Ajo originally from Nyakama area of Hieban County, was appointed Minister of Relief and Development in Kadugli during the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
SPLM-N earlier declared three days of mourning and schools were expected to close until Saturday.
The corpse will be taken to his home area and will be returned for burial at Lowere State Cemetery.
