Release the political prisoners to participate in the national dialogue, Voluntary Civil Society Taskforce urges the national government.

The group recommends President Salva Kiir to fulfill his promise by guaranteeing safety to national dialogue actors, Radio Bakhita reports.

The promise would enhance the credibility and integrity of the dialogue, says Rajab Mohandis, Executive Director for South Sudan Network for Democratic Election who heads the Voluntary Civil Society Taskforce.

The leader calls on the international community to support the national dialogue to realize full implementation of the peace agreement signed in 2015.

Mohandis was briefing the media in Juba under the theme: ‘United for a genuine and credible national dialogue in South Sudan’.
