Catholic Church official is asking the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference, SCBC to develop a policy on child protection.

Fr Wasi Benjamin of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese participated in two-day regional training on child protection policy in Malindi, Kenya.

He says SCBC needs to develop a framework on child protection to save children from abuses.

Meanwhile, Dominica Anthony Olum, a participant from Catholic Archdiocese of Juba says South Sudan should establish child protection centre like that of Kenya.

She says there are many children abuses in South Sudan.

Without protection of children, there will be no sound future leaders, Ms Anthony argues.

She is the Coordinator of Holy Childhood department in Juba Archdiocese.

The participants were speaking to CRN in an interview in Juba on Saturday upon return from Kenya.
