The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UNOCHA on Tuesday launched 2017 humanitarian response plan for South Sudan.
Humanitarian Coordinator, Eugene Owusu says the response plan targets more than seven million people who are in need of relief assistance countrywide, Radio Bakhita reports.
Meanwhile, Hussein Mar Nyuot, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs says the government is committed to grant humanitarian access.
Earlier this week, UN agencies and South Sudan government declare famine in some parts of the country.
