Kumbur Payam community is acquiring skills on maintaining and repairing boreholes.
The training will take over two weeks, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
18 community members are participating in the workshop.
A participant, Hawa Umbila Apa says in the past people were drinking dirty water from wells.
Dirty water causes several illnesses, she says.
Workshop Supervisor, Kamal Osman encourages people to keep community water sources clean.
Water sources should not be shared with animals.
People should fence water sources to prevent animals from invasion, Osman says.
The supervisor says the trainees will be directed to monitor the use of boreholes in Payams.
