The Ministry of Local Government of Maridi State is training chiefs to improve agriculture production this year.

State Governor Africano Mande encourages chiefs to talk to their people to bust agriculture production, Radio Anisa reports.

He mentions security, agriculture and access to all neighbouring states and counties as their top priority this year.

The Governor encourages chiefs to carry the messages of peace to people at the grass root during the training.

Information Minister Peter Saki says the training was to empower chiefs with knowledge in agriculture so that they encourage farming in their villages.

This training bought together chiefs from all counties of Maridi State.
