SPLA soldiers raped women and young girls in Kubi area, along Juba-Nimule road on Sunday, testifies Bishop of Episcopal Church of South Sudan Lomega Diocese.

Bishop Paul Yuggusuk says he cannot tell how many women and girls were raped because many of them ran to the bush.

The survivors are in critical condition in Juba Teaching Hospital, he adds.

The Bishop says houses of Kubi village are looted and destroyed and the only people left are survivors and the elderly women.

He regrets that the area commander James Nyokur did not take any step to arrest the perpetrators.

The Bishop calls for justice to get the criminals to book.

CRN could not reach SPLA spokesperson for comments by press time.
