The Juba Administration has rebuked human rights’ organizations’ calls for speeding up transitional justice through the establishment of the Hybrid Court in South Sudan.
Government Spokesperson, Michael Makuei Lueth says anybody calling for transitional justice is not interested in making peace as far as the government is concerned.
He says President Kiir’s administration is there to stay and that failure to recognize it means war.
The cabinet directed the Minister of Justice not to participate in a discussion in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on establishment of Hybrid Court organized by Geneva based Human Rights Commission, the spokesperson says.
Global observers state that ‘There is no peace without justice’.
Transitional justice through African Union backed Hybrid Court is a provision in Chapter Five of August 2015 peace deal.
