Imotong State inaugurates High Court building

Imotong State government on Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed High Court.
 
Governor Nartisio Loluke says the state should be governed by the rule of law, not titles, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He calls for an end to impunity and arbitrary arrests of citizens by soldiers.
 
Governor Loluke says the powers of commanders are limited to the army, but not to everybody.
 
Obac Denyeny, Imotong State President of High Court, says cases should be tried without favouritism.
 
David Yau Yau, the Deputy Defence Minister says all the army must begin to respect the rule of law and stop harassing civilians.
 
He urges SPLA soldiers to build trust with civilians for protection rather than killing.
 
The High Court inaugurated on Thursday took more than three years of construction and cost millions of pounds.
