Former Chief Justice buried in Rumbek

The body of the former Chief Justice of South Sudan, John Wuol Makech, was laid to his final rest at his home town of Rumbek, Western Lakes on Wednesday.
 
Akol Paul Kordit, Deputy national Information Minister, says President Salva Kiir has described the late Wol Makech as an honest man, Radio Good News reports.
 
John Wol is a God fearing person, a man of God and a unique character because he is a man of all, adds the official.
 
Born on January 1, 1948, the late Justice John Wuol Makec, held the Bachelor of Law from the University of Khartoum and a Master of Law from University of London.
 
He died on January 17 after serving as chairman of the Investigation Committee on Human Rights Abuses following the mid-December 2013 crisis.
 
Governors of Western Lakes and a team of presidential delegation, several other government officials and the community attended the burial.
