Civil society activists of Wau State strongly condemn killing of Al Fadil Meil Issa, member of Ceasefire & Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism.

Civil society organizations do not expect that such killing will happen since the state government is encouraging people to go back to their homes, says Linda Fredina, Chairperson of Women Association for Training Organization and Progress.

She adds that President Salva Kiir has called for the national dialogue.

Fredina urges the state government and all security organs to bring the criminals to book and ensure such killing must stop.

Stephen Robo, Community Empowerment Progress Organization State Coordinator says killing of Al Fadil really disappointed people as the government is working on peace and encouraging IDPs to return to their houses.

He condemns the criminal act because it will discourage IDPs to go back to their homes.

Robo calls on the government to hold the perpetrators accountable.
