Wau State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday approved the sale of two plots in the third class residential area.
The plots will be sold to enable the government build new assembly and curb crimes in the area, says Pio Joseph Mipi, Chairperson of the Committee of Physical Infrastructure and Local Government.
MP James Giir Wol a member of the committee says their findings include appreciation of the community residing in the area.
He added that UNHCR is still occupying the premises after its renting contract expired since 2016.
Speaker Anyar Anyar says the urgent meeting was requested by the Minister of Physical Infrastructure to sell the two plots.
The state minister of Physical Infrastructure last week presented two memos to the Assembly for the sale of two plots.
