Wau Diocese will take lawful action against a teacher who assaulted the director in his office last Friday, says legal officer.
Matthew Francis Juma says John Manyang, one of the nine teachers whose contract expired last month, was notified and given all he deserves including social insurance.
He cites the current economic crisis to be the reason behind non renewal of the contracts of teachers whose contract expired.
Francis says Manyang brought security organs and forcefully arrested the director for administration on January 20 and took him to Wau Police Station.
He added that Manyang also threatened to kill the director on phone.
This forced the education administration to resolve taking legal action against such threats, said the legal officer.
Francis blames the retired teacher for handling the matter in a violent way as the church does not support tribalism.
He says the police released the director and advised Manyang to follow up the termination of his contract with the Labour Office.
The legal officer spoke to the press in his office after meeting the diocesan education administration on Tuesday.
