The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism or CTSAMM has identified the beheaded man in Wau as its opposition liaison officer.
CTSAMM identifies the deceased official as Lieutenant Colonel Al Fadil Meil Issa.
The monitoring body has extended its condolences to the family of the fallen staff.
CTSAMM and local authorities are still investigating the incident to find out the killers of the man.
