The striking persons living with disabilities in Rumbek on Monday threatened to close down Disabled Association for Rehabilitation and Development or DARD office.

Peter Marin Mayen, one of the disabled, told Radio Good News that they decided to shut down the office because its administration does not address issues facing them.

Mary Awal Deng complained that they do not see any support from the office that is meant to help the vulnerable people.

DARD Executive Director, Hakim Cipuou Nyuoc, said the office is supporting the disabled persons at individual basis.

The people living with disabilities gave DARD administration two weeks ultimatum as they wait for their chairman to return home.
