Western Lakes’ cabinet passes Social Service Tax Bill

The Council of Ministers in Western Lakes after their ordinary meeting on Thursday passed the Social Service Tax Bill.
 
The Bill stipulates that a person pays five hundred South Sudanese pounds per a year.
 
Government spokesperson Daniel Dut Makuet tells Radio Good News that the Council of Ministers has passed bill to the state assembly.
 
The bill will help in service delivery in terms of building schools, road network and hospital, Minister Dut discloses.
 
Local authorities through executive chiefs were the first to introduce tax levying it annually on individuals in their areas.
