Wau State Governor blames NGOs for encouraging IDPs to stay in camps rather than returning to their residential areas.
Andrea Mayar Acho says NGOs should take humanitarian aid to people who have returned to their homes, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He clarifies that some people of Hai Jazeera and Salaam remain at their homes and NGOs registered them for several times for food distribution, but never received anything.
Governor Mayar says his meeting with chiefs resolved that NGOs have to start assessment that could be used to make IDPs go their homes.
He says the requested police force did not reach, but he believes an alternative solution would be found in due course for the protection of civilians in Wau.
The governor made the statement during a meeting with all the national and international NGOs on Tuesday.
