The national ministry of health, World Health Organization and UNICEF commenced five days workshop on Tuesday for measles campaign in the country.
Dr Anthony Laku, Director of immunization program in the ministry, says the workshop aims at training participants who will be sent to train others for the next campaign.
He expects to immunize most of the children by Match, Radio Bakhita reports.
Dr Laku calls on parents to take children to the nearest health centre to receive the vaccine.
He also advises women to vaccinate against tetanus.
Ms Mary Denise is the Director of Health Education and Promotion in the ministry.
She warns that the rate of measles has recently gone high; urging parents to take their children for vaccination.
The measles follow-up campaign is targeting at least 2 million children nationwide within the period of two years from 2017 to 2018.
